Toys for Joys is all about community engagement, holiday joy, and supporting our kids. The last few years have challenged us in so many ways and the need for help has never been greater. In 2020, 2021 and 2022 T4J saw unparalleled years raising gifts and capital donations. To further our mission, we have decided to hold off on our annual “Gift Gala” this year and concentrate our efforts on fundraising for 2023. Scroll down and learn about the impact we’ve had and the impact we will have again in 2023 with YOUR HELP!

Please, if you can, help us rally and continue to support our mission again this year to help our Massachusetts children and teens in need along with all of our 29 DCF Offices.

Thank you so much…

We are indebted to the generosity of our incredible supporters, partnering organizations, volunteers, and donors.  Because of you Toys4Joys has positively impacted an unprecedented number of Massachusetts children and families over the past several years.  In 2022 T4J received hundreds of toys and raised over $100,000 in donations with which we purchased and distributed an additional 9,000+ toys.

You help those in your community…

As a 100% volunteer organization we have very little overhead. The gifts we raise and distribute stay in Massachusetts so your donations will bring a smile and a sense of hope to children, teens, and families this holiday season in your communities. To that end we have vetted and partnered with organizations who care for underprivileged children, teens and families in Massachusetts. On a daily basis, these organizations help many thousands of people suffering from poverty, food insecurity, mental illness, and numerous other major life challenges. And, through our relationship with the Wonderfund of Massachusetts we supply all 29 Massachusetts DCF (Dept of Children and Families) offices with gifts and toys for our foster children and teens in need.

And so, our mission continues in 2023…

In 2002, we started as a small housewarming holiday party with a small tree and a few bags of donated toys. Since then, Toys4Joys has become a 501c3 organization and has provided well over 50,000 toys and gifts to underprivileged children throughout Massachusetts. As we continue to concentrate on our mission, with your help we all will continue to make the holiday season brighter for people in need.  It is with the generosity of friends, family, fantastic corporations, local businesses, and individual sponsors that we have been able to accomplish such great impact for our beneficiary partners:

  • Wonderfund of Massachusetts (MA Department of Children and Families)
  • Casa Iris/Multicultural AIDS Coalition (Jamaica Plain)
  • IBA (South End)
  • Eastern Service Workers Association (Dorchester, East Boston, Mattapan)
  • United South End Settlements (South End)
  • Urban Farming Institute (Mattapan, Dorchester)
  • Boston Housing Authority/Joseph Tierney Learning Center (Boston)
  • St. Ann’s Home and School (Methuen)

Santa’s Sleighs and the folks who keep us on the move…

With amazing logistics partners like PEAK Event Services and Bigfoot Moving we are able to distribute your donated toys. Trucks from both companies are our Santa’s Sleighs delivering toys throughout Massachusetts to local charities as well as all state-wide DCF offices from Cape Cod to Pittsfield.

We must give a big shout out to our wonderful team of volunteer professionals who stick with us year after year, including Gay for Good and FLAG Football. This is truly a case of “it takes a village”, and we thank every organization and individual who make Toys4Joys a priority each year.

We wish you a happy and healthy holiday season and hope you can celebrate your holiday safely with the ones you love.

Be Well,
Dr. James Rifino
Mr. Harry Pihl

Our Beneficiaries:

Through the years

Toys for Joys celebrates 20 years, and success with providing over 50,000 toys and gifts to children and teens in need. Historically, our Toy Gala was considered a Boston holiday tradition of meeting up with family, friends and co-workers all while helping the families and children throughout the state of Massachusetts.
